Kit
Logan wants to know my name, but I can't tell him. I can't tell him anything. There are too many people looking for me. He's pretty persuasive, though, and he convinces me to go home with him so he can keep me safe from this harsh city where I find myself. It's not my home. It's his. He belongs. I don't.
Logan lives with four brothers in the inner city. Yet I've never felt more safe than I do when I'm with him. I want him. But he won't let me have a darn thing, aside from his friendship, unless I'm willing to tell him my secrets. But they're mine, and I can't share them. Not unless I want them to come and get me.
Logan
She catches my eye because she's so beautiful she takes my breath. But that's not all that I love about her. I love the way she smells. The way she smiles. The way she plays the guitar is unlike anything I have ever seen. She sleeps in my bed every night, and drives me crazy with her touch. But I can't take what she offers because I need all of her. I need for her to tell me her secrets. I need for her to trust me.

Tall Tatted and Tempting The Reed Brothers Series Book 1 edition by Tammy Falkner Literature Fiction eBooks
Holy Cannoli. This book was definitely a first for me. The heroine, Kit, is dyslexic and hiding a very big secret. The hero, Logan, hasn’t talked since he was 13 and communicates with his family via sign language. Logan runs a tattoo shop with his four brothers, when Kit comes in with a drawing she wants tattooed. Unfortunately Kit leaves without getting the tattoo, but Logan follows her to the homeless shelter. They meet up again in the subway where Kit is playing and Logan is determined to take her home. I won’t go into much more detail because it would give away the best parts of Kit and Logan’s journey.I was hooked within the first chapter and couldn’t put it down. I love how all the brothers had such a tight knit bond and always had each other’s back. Since the five boys live in tight quarters there is a lot of testosterone before Kit had even stepped foot inside. I loved reading about Kit’s relationship with each of Logan’s brothers. Each relationship was different but each brother loved and protected her as if she was the sister they never asked for. The twins were my absolute favorite, but I really loved all of them.
I laughed, swooned and cried for this family and Kit. I think Tammy did an amazing job incorporating as much as she did in this book. While this may have been a full length novel, it was also a quick read. I was definitely ready to get on to the next one. Especially since Book Two picks up a couple months later and carries on with Logan and Kit.

Tall Tatted and Tempting The Reed Brothers Series Book 1 edition by Tammy Falkner Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Logan is deaf, tattoo artist living with his four brothers. Women love Logan and Logan loves women. Kit works the street with her guitar trying to get by. She wants a tattoo and goes to the tattoo shop where Logan works. She didn't get the tattoo but Logan ends up with a broken nose. Logan sees Kit in the subway playing music for change. He convinces her to go to dinner with him and to stay a night in their house. Logan and Kit fall in love. She eventually tells him her real name but it's not one he knows. No one knows who Kit really is. Matt, one of Logan's brothers has cancer and needs more treatment. The Reed brothers are working double jobs to get enough money to continue the chemo. It is in one the bars where Logan works where her talent on the guitar shows. After a night of making love with Logan, Kit disappears. Will she come back? Will he ever hear from her again? This is a great book. It does end in a cliffhanger and will need to buy the next book to see how their story ends. I received this book from Net Galley and Nightshift Publishing for a honest review. The opinions expressed are my own.
***3.75 stars***
Tall, Tatted and Tempting has been getting rave reviews because of one unique character- Logan. Logan's deaf and has been living in a silent world since he was 13. Emily (‘Kit’) is a homeless girl with a secret past that she's hiding from.
Emily arrives at a tattoo parlor requesting a tattoo of one her designs. Logan is the tattoo artist for this project. The sparks fly between them especially when Emily ends up punching him in the nose and breaking it.
Together they each share a secret that no one else no knows about.
The dual POVs allows the reader to experience Logan’s world of silence. The reader achieves a sense of the quietness that surrounds the deaf. Emily learns to read non verbal cues so she can communicate with Logan.
Trust is a huge stumbling block in their relationship. Not sharing who she is or her real name stalls their relationship.
”Emily Madison.”
My name. It’s Emily Madison.”
This book ends abruptly but leaves you knowing there is more to Emily and Logan’s story. To read an excerpt from book two click here.
On a side note this book had a Poughkeepsie vibe. Homeless person, brothers and the unique tattoo.
Tammy Falkner, venturing into writing Tall, Tatted and Tempting, managed to give us one amazing New Adult story of love between two damaged, but still beautifully strong young souls - the story of maturing, finding their footing in the adult world, in this cruel world, trying to overcome the obstacles and fighting the hope, because what they have been thought is that just love is never enough. What they didn't realize, though, is that you can't fight if, and most importantly, who you love.
The first chapter in the story was surprising, and drew me immediately in. It's not expected, but it definitely makes you wonder what happens next. Logan and Emily are two unique characters, with their sets of problems each - what is similar is that they both have demons from their past they need to overcome and they are stubbornly and beautifully proud of themselves and of what they know they could and can become. The differences are huge as well while it appears that Emily has no one in the world who cares about her, Logan comes with a crowd of brothers who he wouldn't change for the world; her views of family are about to be changed and I enjoyed seeing it. The Reed Brothers, well, you don't want to miss these guys' stories!
Get swept off your feet into this amazing story. And while it does not end in a cliffhanger, it does require for you to read the second book to get the full, HEA story. But it's so worth it! Recommended NA romance.
